This handbrake alarm has been developed to work with 12V and 24V vehicles, acting on positive or negative handbrake and door switches. Once the door is opened without the handbrake applied, a latched alarm (both audible and visual) will go off and cannot be reset until the handbrake has been engaged. This aids the driver in reducing the incident of exiting the vehicle without the handbrake engaged. Also provided is an optional auxiliary alarm feed that can be used to drive a relay to activate the vehicle's horn or similar external alarm device.
